Mariners manager Don Wakamatsu said Friday that he's "leaning toward" having Jose Lopez play third base this season.
Chone Figgins, of course, would play second. The M's have featured the setup in most of their exhibition games this spring and seem to like the way it looks. Just in case, they'll try switching the two players in an upcoming contest. "Not because we're doubting it," Wakamatsu said. "But to say, 'OK, what does the other way look like?'" Position flexibility is a major plus in the fantasy world and we'd certainly welcome the dual eligibility for both players.
