Reds make round of cuts

Reds optioned LHP Bill Bray, 1B Yonder Alonso to Triple-A Louisville; optioned RHPs Jordan Smith and LHP Philippe Valiquette to Double-A Carolina; assigned RHP Jon Adkins and OF Josh Anderson to Triple-A Louisville.
Bray, who underwent Tommy John surgery last May, is already throwing to live hitters during batting practice. Alonso, of course, is one of the organization's most promising prospects, however he's currently blocked at first base by Joey Votto. Adkins and Anderson were non-roster invitees to spring training.
