Lidge throws in minor league game
Brad Lidge - R - Philadelphia Phillies
March 18, 2010 - 1:35 PM ET

Brad Lidge (knee, elbow) threw one inning in a minor league game on Thursday.

He threw 16 pitches and allowed one run on three hits against a Double-A lineup, but we shouldn't get too worked up about the results. The important thing is that he leaves the outing feeling healthy. It isn't clear how the Phillies will proceed from here, but time is quickly running out for him to be ready for the start of the season. As such, Lidge is currently aiming to be ready for the second series of the season against Houston.
