Jamie McBain gets a point in his NHL debut

Jamie McBain registered an assist in his NHL debut on Tuesday.
McBain was a bit of a longshot to even play in this game. He was called up primarily to serve as an insurance policy in case Tim Gleason couldn't play. Gleason was able to participate in Tuesday's game, but the Hurricanes managed to work McBain into the lineup anyways. McBain is an offensive defenseman and one of the Hurricanes' top prospects. He might find a way on Carolina's opening day roster in 2010-11.
