Experts: Moving weak teams to Canada no help
Sidney Crosby - C - Pittsburgh Penguins

For those who believe that moving two or three of the NHL's weakest teams to Quebec City, Halifax and Hamilton will solve the NHL's financial woes, experts disagree, as reported in the Toronto Star.

Economists with the Conference Board of Canada do not think that will be enough to address the league's overall financial issues. "You could take the three weakest teams in the league and drop them in Canada, but you still have a third of the league that's not breaking even," says Glenn Hodgson one of the economists with the Board. The Star article is an interesting read and we encourage hockey-starved fans to take a look.
