Angel Pagan hit a walkoff homer in the bottom of the ninth to give the Mets a 6-5 win over the Cardinals on Monday.
Fernando Martinez has had a terrific spring and Gary Matthews Jr. has also played pretty well, but Pagan should still be in line to open the year as the Mets' center fielder. Today's heroics won't hurt, even if the homer came off a rather generic Triple-A reliever in Pete Parise.
