Nick Johnson went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and two runs scored as a Yankees split-squad beat the Orioles 5-3 on Saturday.
It looks like the Yankees are leaning towards using Johnson as their No. 2 hitter and putting Curtis Granderson into an RBI spot. Johnson is helping to make it an easier call by starting the spring 5-for-11 with four extra-base hits and three walks.
