New Jersey winger Ilya Kovalchuk is thrilled to get the opportunity to play alongside Detroit center Pavel Datsyuk for Russia's national team at the Euro Hockey Tour.
"It's an honor to play with a center like Datsyuk," he said. "I personally consider Datsyuk the best center in the world, so there's great satisfaction and experience from playing alongside him." The pair have been training on the same line and there will be plenty of NHL talent on hand for Russia because of the lockout. Alex Ovechkin, Evgeni Malkin, Fedor Tyutin, Nikolai Kulemin, Alexei Emelin and Artem Anisimov will join Kovalchuk and Datsyuk on the team's roster.
