ReutersTiger Woods has hired a former aide to George W. Bush to help plot a strategy for his return to golf in two weeks, the New York Post says.
The Post reports "two sources in the golf community" say Ari Fleischer, now a sports PR consultant, has been meeting Woods in anticipation of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, which starts March 25 at Bay Hill in Orlando.
"They were in his living room this week going over a strategy for how to handle Bay Hill in two weeks," one source told The Post.
The other source told The Post, "I would be shocked if he didn't play the Arnold Palmer."
Fleischer, who served as Bush's press secretary from 2001 to 2003, in 2008 formed Ari Fleischer Sports Communications. Fleischer worked with Mark McGwire when the disgraced former slugger made his first public admission that he had used performance-enhancing drugs.
The Packers and the BCS have been among Fleischer's other sports clients.
