Cardinals manager Tony La Russa indicated Wednesday that Matt Holliday (ribs) is going to be out of action for more than just a few days.
Holliday was scratched from Wednesday's lineup after feeling a tweak in his rib-cage during pregame drills. He had it checked out and team trainers are calling it a muscle strain. "Matt says it's not as bad as they say it is," said La Russa, the Cardinals skipper. "It's not day-to-day (though)." His status for Opening Day is so far unaffected, but check back in a week.
