Agent: Jose Reyes has only mild thyroid issue

Jose Reyes' agent said Wednesday that the shortstop was diagnosed with only a minor case of thyroid overactivity.
It appears we finally have a little bit of clarity on the situation. "We're waiting for the final results tomorrow," Greenberg told the New York Times, "but all indications are that it's the most minimal case of hyperthyroidism possible. The doctor was very pleased and so is Jose." The Mets shortstop will have more blood tests two weeks from now. There is still no timetable for his return to spring exhibition games.
