Patrick Wiercioch playing well in AHL

With a spot open on the Senators' blueline due to the injury to Jared Cowen, Patrick Wierioch is making a case to play in Ottawa once NHL play resumes.
He seems to have recovered from a career-threatening throat injury sustained last season by scoring seven goals and registering 10 points in 18 games for the Baby Sens. Wiercioch also leads Binghamton in plus minus with a plus 14 rating. Keep an eye on the 22-year old rearguard as he may be worthy of a reserve roster spot.
