Mike Commodore decided to play in the AHL to continue playing and to catch on with an NHL club when the work stoppage ends.
"I need to be playing, in my opinion, if I want to have a good chance of continuing my career," said Commodore, who signed a 25-game professional tryout with the Hamilton Bulldogs. "So here I am." He was unrestricted free agent when the lockout began and will be looking for a new team once a new CBA is agreed upon.
