Brandon Pirri has been strong in improved AHL

Brandon Pirri has six goals and 13 points in 15 games with the AHL Rockford IceHogs.
Pirri might have gotten another chance to play with the Chicago Blackhawks if not for the lockout, but instead he's been given an opportunity to focus on developing further in an improved AHL. With the lockout dragging on, a lot more eyes are on the AHL and that should help Pirri make the Chicago Blackhawks when the work stoppage is over if he can maintain this level of play.
