
The players' union is expected to meet internally on Tuesday to come up with a comprehensive proposal following Monday's 90-minute session.
The NHLPA and the NHL are slated to remain in contact during the process, but another meeting between the two sides may not come until Wednesday. The union tried to get the league to discuss player contracting issues on Monday, but the NHL wants to decide how to divide hockey-related revenue first, according to NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr.
