Jim Vandermeer wants to play for Canucks

Unrestricted free agent Jim Vandermeer would like to sign with the Vancouver Canucks once the NHL resumes.
The Canucks need another defenseman after losing Aaron Rome and Vandermeer would be a good acquisition as an eighth defenseman. "It would be very attractive and work out great," Vandermeer said. "We've talked a little bit to Vancouver when we could, and it was the same as when we talked to other teams. We picked the ones who would have a need for a guy like me. Hopefully, when we start talking, they [Canucks] feel the same way." Vandermeer has little to no fantasy value.
