NHL, Union might resume CBA talks Monday

The NHL and union might meet in person on Monday.

NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly and NHLPA special counsel Steve Fehr spoke over the phone Saturday. NHL commissioner Gary Bettman proposed a two-week moratorium on CBA talks, but it looks like the two sides won't execute that plan. There's still time to avoid more cancelations, but they would have to move very fast. Games through Dec. 15 might be scrapped around Wednesday.
