The University of Hawaii canceled or postponed all of Saturday's athletic events, including the men's basketball game against Nevada, after a tsunami warning closed the school's campus in Honolulu.
An 8.8-magnitude earthquake struck Chile early Saturday, causing the tsunami warning for the Hawaiian islands.
Nevada is still hopeful to leave Hawaii late Saturday night, mostly because it's unclear if the game will be re-scheduled. Hawaii (9-18) is at the bottom of the WAC standings and the game may not be needed to determine seeds for the conference tournament.
Also canceled was the men's volleyball game against BYU at Maui's War Memorial Gym and the women's soccer team's six-on-six tournament.
The baseball game scheduled against Oregon will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sunday
