Brent Sutter is Red Deer's interim coach

WHL Red Deer Rebels owner and GM Brent Sutter has fired his team's coach, Jesse Wallin.
Sutter will take over as the team's interim coach. Sutter was the Calgary Flames' head coach before the two sides mutually agreed to part ways over the summer. He was a candidate to take over as the Edmonton Oilers head coach, but ultimately missed out on that job. Of course, that's all proven to be moot so far as the NHL lockout has prevented the Oilers and Flames new head coaches from actually doing their jobs. Sutter will be searching for a new coach for his team.
