Prospect Cody Goloubef out six to 10 weeks
Cody Goloubef - D - Columbus Blue Jackets
Nov. 13, 2012 - 10:50 AM ET

Blue Jackets' minor-league defenseman Cody Goloubef is likely facing surgery for a broken hand after he was slashed while playing for AHL Springfield over the weekend.

The expectation from the Columbus organization is that Goloubef will miss six to 10 weeks while he recovers. In 11 games for red-hot Springfield, Goloubef had 0-3-3, 10 penalty minutes and a plus-7 rating. He made his NHL debut late last season with the Blue Jackets on March 31, a 5-2 win over St. Louis. "He had been playing really well," Blue Jackets general manager Scott Howson said. "Really well."
