Matchups caused Noah to sit?

Coach Tom Thibodeau cited matchups as the reason Joakim Noah didn't play in the fourth quarter Wednesday night.
Noah did strain his left thumb, but came back in the game and was available in the final frame. Note that it was his right thumb that needed to be surgically repaired last season. Thibodeau is in love with the interior defense of Omer Asik and Taj Gibson, meaning Noah is going to have to earn his minutes going forward. We can't confidently project a turnaround right now.
