Giants agree to two-year deal with Lincecum
Tim Lincecum - S - San Francisco Giants
Feb. 12, 2010 - 11:30 AM ET

According to Craig Calcaterra of NBCSports.com, the Giants have agreed to a two-year contract with right-hander Tim Lincecum.

The money involved is not yet known, but it's good news for both sides either way. Arbitration hearings can often be tumultuous and the Giants surely didn't want to go to battle with their young stud. Lincecum, 25, has racked up 40 wins and compiled a 2.90 ERA and 1.15 WHIP over his first 90 major league starts. He's also won the NL Cy Young Award twice.
