MacDonald stones Sabres on Saturday night

Joey MacDonald turned aside 30 of 32 shots in the Red Wings' 3-2 shootout win over the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday night.
MacDonald won his second straight start, and he's made 59 saves in the process. He has a 3-3-1 record this season with a .914 save percentage and a 2.39 goals-against average. Unfortunately, MacDonald is saddled behind Jimmy Howard on the Red Wings goaltending depth chart and shouldn't get many more starts as the NHL heads towards the homestretch.
