Bishop gets first career SO
Ben Bishop - G - St Louis Blues
Feb. 26, 2011 - 10:55 AM ET

Ben Bishop recorded his first career NHL shutout on Friday.

The Blues dominated the Oilers, giving Bishop his first shutout ever in an NHL uniform. He finished the game with 39 saves. "He was outstanding," coach Payne said. "He had to make some tough saves early, especially some of the stuff tight around the net. He had to do it again at the start of the third period, we knew there was going to be a push there, but we were able to rely on him until we were able to build the lead a little further."
