Phillies signed infielder Luis Maza to a minor league contract.

Maza, 29, hasn't made a major league appearance since 2008, when he posted a disappointing .228/.282/.278 batting line in 79 at-bats with the Dodgers. He hit .300/.340/.428 with five homers, 44 RBI and 55 runs scored in 355 plate appearances. He's not likely to have an impact in 2010.
