Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com reports that the Orioles, Dodgers, Mets, Red Sox and Giants are among the teams with interest in Japanese left-hander Hisanori Takahashi.
Takahashi, who turns 35 in April, is looking to make the transition to the major leagues after completing his tenth season with the Yomiuri Giants. Takahashi was 79-66 with a 3.70 ERA in 245 career games for the Giants. He's aiming to find a major league deal, and though he projects as a reliever, he could be a cheap alternative to other left-handed pitchers on the market.
