Tabloids track Tiger Woods Jan. 23: Msnbc's Monica Novotny talks with In Touch's Noah Levy about Tiger Woods, who is reportedly in a Mississippi rehabilitation facility. |
Remember the supposed photo of Tiger Woods at a Mississippi sex addiction clinic published earlier this week by the National Enquirer? More images released by the celebrity photography Web site x17online.com call into question whether it was actually Woods in the Enquirer photo.
X17online.com's photos, posted Friday, show a man wearing the same clothes as the person in the Enquirer photo, including grey athletic shorts with red and white stripes, a white t-shirt, a black sweatshirt, a black baseball cap and a watch. The person has a similar build and complexion to Woods but clearly is not him.
A post on x17online.com claims their photos show that the Enquirer's photo is not Woods. "It's now been exactly two months since we've seen a single photograph of Tiger, so if he's stayed in hiding for this long, we're guessing we're not going to snap a picture of him anytime soon," the post says. "Since Tiger's rep hasn't commented on his whereabouts, and as the supposed first shot of Tiger isn't actually him, we're pretty much back to square one in terms of locating the adulterous golf pro."
However, a story on the Enquirer's Web site says the Tiger lookalike is a decoy to trick photographers into thinking Woods is not, in fact, at the clinic.

"And even though one photo agency Web site fell for it immediately, the differences between the two Tigers are obvious to even a casual observer.
"Tiger's stand-in was paraded in front of a swarm of photographers and he was wearing EXACTLY the same clothing as the real Tiger when we photographed him days ago.
"We're pretty sure the clinic makes them change their clothes."
