Favre will drive Vikings into Super Bowl

QB pushing teammates, will lead Minnesota past New Orleans

ProFootballTalk.com's Mike Florio makes his prediction for the NFC championship game Sunday:

Minnesota at New Orleans
For much of the season, this is the matchup we all expected in the NFC title game. For much of December, it looks like it wouldn’t be happening.

But after three losses each in the final weeks of the season, both have turned it around with 31-point wins in the divisional round.

Surely, the Saints will be hard to beat in the Superdome. Especially if Reggie Bush continues his better-late-than-never discovery of his full NFL potential.

But there’s something about this Minnesota team. More specifically, there’s something about Favre. He is playing as well as he ever has, if not better. And he is exuding a will to win that is pushing his teammates to a higher level of performance.

So while the quest might end in Miami when the Vikings have to play on grass and without a roof, Favre will return to the site of his lone Super Bowl win hell bent on getting back there again.

Pick: Vikings 30, Saints 27
