Taylor Hall will be ready for 2012-13
Taylor Hall - W - Edmonton Oilers
Aug. 9, 2012 - 11:30 AM ET

Taylor Hall stepped back onto the ice Wednesday and feels he will be ready for opening night in 2012-13, if the NHL season starts on time.

"It's held up fine so I'm pretty excited about that," he said. "It's time to start being a hockey player again." The season-ending procedure was tough on him because it wasn't just done arthroscopically. He said "they cut me open and moved the bone around. I have a three-inch scar on my shoulder." Hall also stated that his shoulder hampered him before he elected for surgery, but now it feels "brand new" and he's looking forward to putting those woes behind him. The talented 20-year-old has received some criticism for playing a reckless style, which has gotten him into some injury issues, and although he doesn't plan to alter his game that much he understands that he needs to take better care of himself.
