Report: Habs offer PK Subban 2-year/$5.5 mil

The Montreal Canadiens have reportedly offered P.K. Subban a two-year/$5.5 million deal.
It would be surprising to see Subban, who is a restricted free agent, agree to those terms. The two sides are reportedly still far apart, with Subban seeking a longer contract. We're already into August and it sounds like it could still be a little while before Montreal and Subban come to an agreement.
