Doan recently talked to potential Phoenix Coyotes buyer Greg Jamison, but he also seems to be evaluating his other options. In addition to Vancouver and Phoenix, the Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers, and Montreal Canadiens have recently been linked to Doan. It is believed that Doan is seeking a contract in the ballpark of four-year/$30 million if he leaves Phoenix. If that's the case then it's hard to see how the Vancouver Canucks, who are near the salary cap, can afford to sign Doan.
