Robinson has a long history of success in the playoffs as both a player and a coach. That'd be a big deal anywhere, but it might prove to be especially critical in San Jose where falling short in the playoffs has become the norm. The Sharks have advanced to the playoffs in each of their last eight seasons and won their division five times in that span, but have never gone further than the Western Conference finals.
