Stars sign Jaromir Jagr to one-year contract

In something of a surprise, the Dallas Stars have reportedly agreed to a one-year contract with future Hall of Famer Jaromir Jagr worth $4.55 million.
This continues an impressive, mostly short-term, overhaul of the Stars this off-season. Ray Whitney signed a similar deal (with one extra year) and Dallas also traded for Derek Roy to bolster their forward corps. Jagr scored 19 goals and 54 points in 73 regular season games with the Philadelphia Flyers last season.
