Carmelo Anthony suffered a hyperextended left knee after stepping on the foot of Iman Shumpert in Monday's practice.
It was originally thought to be an ankle injury, so this news is a little worse. We've still got nearly two full weeks before the season starts, so hopefully he'll be ready to go by Christmas. He's officially day-to-day as of now, but Howard Beck reports that Mike D'Antoni is hopeful Melo will be back on the court on Tuesday. Addtionally, Melo said "I'm fine, I'm good...No worries" when leaving the arena today, according to Hoopsworl's Tommy Beer.
