NHL, union have 'very cordial' CBA meeting

The NHL and NHLPA have completed their first CBA negotiating session.
"The meeting was very cordial and we hope it was constructive," NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly said. This was just the first of what will likely be many meetings. Details regarding this meeting are somewhat scarce, but for now it's just encouraging to see both sides get the ball rolling. The current CBA is set to expire on Sept. 15.
