The Winnipeg Jets may explore trading Ondrej Pavelec this weekend at the NHL draft.
The 24-year-old goaltender reportedly has an offer on the table from St. Petersburg of the KHL and he is willing to leave for Russia if the Jets don't meet his contract demands. Pavelec is believed to be seeking a four-year deal with a salary of about $4 million per season. The Jets and his agent, Allan Walsh, have remained mum on the negotiation process, but onlookers are saying that the two sides are far apart and a trade could happen.
