Contract talks between Crosby, Pens underway

A source indicated that talks are underway between the Penguins and representatives of Sidney Crosby with respect to a new deal.
The talks have been preliminary and have not included details such as number of years and financial terms, according to the source. The 24-year-old Crosby is signed through next season, but effective July 1 he can sign off on a new deal that would kick in for the 2013-14 season.
