Flyers claim Leighton off waivers from Canes

Michael Leighton has been claimed off waivers by the Philadelphia Flyers.
Leighton cleared waivers on Tuesday and was assigned to the minors, but Carolina placed him on re-entry waivers on Sunday. Philadelphia will use him as a backup to Brian Boucher, while starter goalie Ray Emery recovers from abdominal surgery. Johan Backlund will be returned to the minors as a result of the move.
