Jonathan Huberdeau produced two goals and one assist in a 4-1 win over the Shawinigan Cataractes Wednesday night to get the Saint John Sea Dogs into the semifinals for the Memorial Cup.
The defending champions will now await the winner of the Cataractes and the Edmonton Oil Kings, who will play Thursday, for the right to play the London Knights for the 2012 crown. Huberdeau, a first-round pick of the Florida Panthers in 2011, led all scorers during round-robin play with four goals and six points in three games. He is an outstanding prospect, who should challenge for a roster spot in the fall.
