According to ESPN.com's Jayson Stark, the Giants have offered outfielder Fred Lewis and infielder Kevin Frandsen for third baseman Kevin Kouzmanoff.
Frandsen and Lewis are aging bench players and probably won't impress the Padres. Luckily for San Diego, the Twins are also a factor in trade negotiations for Kouzmanoff and have reportedly offered Glen Perkins and another player for the 28-year-old infielder. That line of negotiations holds a bit more promise. Kouz hit a respectable .255/.302/.420 with 18 home runs and 88 RBI in 2009 but the Padres have Chase Headley at the hot corner.
