The Rockies are on the verge of re-signing catcher Yorvit Torrealba to a two-year deal, reports Troy Renck of the Denver Post.
According to Renck, the two sides were merely ironing out some "final wrinkles." He's expected to earn somewhere around $5-5.5 million in the deal, slightly less than the two-year contract he signed with the Rockies in the winter of 2007. Presumably, the 31-year-old backstop would pair with Chris Iannetta again next season.
