Gary Sheffield says four teams are interested
Gary Sheffield - OF - New York Mets
Dec. 9, 2009 - 10:45 AM ET

Gary Sheffield told Nick Carfado of the Boston Herald that he has received interest from four teams this winter.

Sheffield is about 300 hits shy of 3,000 and would like to reach the milestone. Of course, the way he's playing, that could take well over three years. The 41-year-old outfielder batted .276/.372/.451 in 2009 with 10 home runs, 13 doubles and 43 RBI in 268 at-bats. He had 74 hits.
