According to MLB.com's Thomas Harding, the Rockies have offered a two-year contract to free agent catcher Yorvit Torrealba.
The Giants had interest in signing the 31-year-old backstop, but were only willing to give him a one-year deal. Torrealba hit .291/.351/.380 with two homers and 31 RBI in 2009 and is hoping to capitalize on the fine season with a lucrative multi-year contract. Multiple teams have shown interest so there's a chance he'll be able to top Colorado's two-year offer.
