According to Ed Price of AOL Fanhouse, there's a rumor floating around that the Mets have acquired right-hander Edwin Jackson from the Tigers.
Price adds that the news is unconfirmed and he simply "heard it in the lobby" at the Winter Meetings in Indianapolis. Jackson, 26, went 13-9 in 2009 with a 3.62 ERA and 1.26 WHIP over 33 starts. He'd be a great addition to any rotation, and the Mets can certainly use him. Going from the A.L. to the National League might also be a plus.
