Although the Kings coasted to a 5-2 victory on Monday, Anze Kopitar knows they didn't look very good after the first period.
The Kings got out to a 4-0 lead, but they mostly relied on Jonathan Quick after the first intermission. "It wasn't the best," Kopitar said. "There's no secret to it. I'm sure every other guy will tell you the same thing. We had, what, six shots the rest of the way? That's not good. It didn't hurt us last night but, we had the start we wanted but you want to stay consistent and play like that for 60 minutes. So, there's room for improvement, and we've got to be ready for everything in Game 3." Actually, the Kings had five shots on goal in the final 40 minutes, compared to the Blues' 24 shots on goal in the same span. Still, Los Angeles has taken a 2-0 series lead.
