Boychuk impressing coaching staff

Hurricanes' forward Zach Boychuk has been impressive since being recalled from the AHL on December 17th.
Hurricanes' Coach Paul Maurice said Sunday that he feels Boychuk has earned his roster spot and that he could even keep it after the player he replaced, Jiri Tlusty, returns from injury. "I've liked Boychuk's intensity," Maurice said. "I know he's got hands and if he gets power-play time and enough offensive time eventually he will score. The question is how many shifts can he get." Boychuk is one of the 'Canes top prospects so it's encouraging to see that his game has risen enough to impress people at the NHL level.
