According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com, the Yankees intend to explore all of the free agent pitching options that are available this winter.
Rosenthal suggests this might be good news for top tier free agent arms like John Lackey, Rich Harden, Joel Pineiro, and even left-hander Randy Wolf. Any time the Yanks are involved in negotiations, prices tend to soar. Wolf, 33, went 11-7 with a 3.23 ERA this season but has spent his entire career in the National League and might not want to change. Lackey makes a lot of sense, but the Yanks are reportedly trying to cut back on payroll. He's sure to land the most lucrative contract of the bunch.
