Nuggets' Nene opts out, now a free agent

Nene Hilario has exercised the early termination option in his contract, officially making him an unrestricted free agent.
Nene and the team were working toward an extension, but it appears that they couldn't get anything done by the Thursday deadline. He's taking a big risk by doing so with the lockout looming, but he instantly becomes one of the most attractive options on the shallow free agent market.
