Another aspect that may lead to Roberto Luongo being traded this off-season is the emergence of minor-league goaltender Eddie Lack.
"Eddie is very close," GM Mike Gillis said. "He's definitely going to be a National Hockey League goalie at some point, he's that good. We'll watch him closely in the playoffs with Chicago - he was great last night - I'm just not sure he's absolutely ready and we may not know until September." Lack posted a 2.31 GAA and a .925 save percentage in 46 contests with AHL Chicago this past season.
