Report: Tim Duncan will not opt out of deal

Tim Duncan is not expected to opt out of his final year with the Spurs, a source tells the Express-News.
Duncan is scheduled to earn a whopping $21.2 million next season, meaning he'd be insane to exercise his early termination option. The Spurs don't plan on offering Duncan an extension this week, so Duncan remains on track to be a free agent after next season. At age 35 with rapidly declining skills, the icon knows this is his final payday. Duncan averaged just 13.5 points and 28.3 minutes per game last season.
